We pretty much can't justify moving anywhere that isn't $100-150 less than we're currently paying--MUCH higher rents than that. And having tried the laundromat thing, we're quite confident it's nonnegotiable for us. :-)
I've also tried "asking around," but I don't really know people who know people who own extra houses to rent out, unfortunately. Rooms, yes. Not an option with two people and two cats.
