Hi there! We've had a whole heap of new members come along. Welcome!

I've had some privacy concerns raised. From now on, membership is on moderated status. Also, please make any posts with personal financial details f-locked (I won't force you to, but some community members can't participate without that. Something to keep in mind. I won't be posting f-locked as there has to be something for folks who are just watching the community to read.)

Please let me know if you have any other suggestions for the improvement of the community!

Upcoming attractions:
A challenge a month. The first challenge? Cook dinner (or don't have take-away) every night for a month.

Also, I'm going to do another goal post.

I like the idea of challenges. I'm normally very good with my budget but the last few months have been one expense after another (still no consumer debt, though!), challenges would be a great way to get back on track.

Cooking dinner is easy :). I already have to do that for health reasons (low salt=no takeaway). I know this isn't a recipe/food comm but I'd love to hear other people's ideas for budget-friendly cooking and shopping, especially when trying to accommodate specific needs since the gluten-free/low salt/organic etc. foods are more expensive.

LOL! Very true, especially when you have a short attention span when it comes to food like I do :D.

Maybe if we keep the recipes corralled so they don't run wild... Like a few tagged posts, maybe sticky or linked in the sidebar, which people can refer to, or add more recipes, whenever the topic comes round.

Possible topics of posts or tags might be like:
Cheapest possible good nutrition
FrugalFood Vegan
FrugalFood Carnivore
FrugalFood All-Natural/Organic
Food sharing & community sourcing
FrugalFood allergen-free
FrugalFood basics, tips & tricks

What do y'all think?

Indy (owes an introduction I guess)
